It takes A Village…And A Page

Posted in Guest Blog Posts

Sharing our stories, our questions and all fibroid-related information, I just found out, is now a breeze. With the help of facebook, FibroidRelief.org now has a “page” for any and all of us to gather-round. It is fantastic!
From all over the world, we are able to converge in this one spot (FibroidRelief “page”) to bring coherence, education and connectiveness to an issue that affects 80% of women at some point in their life-time. Although I know that fibroids know no boundaries, I was surprised to see postings from fibroid-afflicted women from around this wonder-full world. It is amazing to interact, albeit through a keyboard, with women that are experiencing or have experienced the trials and tribulations of the dreaded fibroid-ladened uterus…ugh!
My soul-purpose of blogging for the web-site, FibroidRelief.org, is to reach out (with stories and information) to as many women as possible. The FibroidRelief “page” on facebook makes my goal of helping women plan their next move (regarding what to do with a fibroid diagnosis) that much more comprehensive. I am no longer just a blogger in a cocoon…there is a spot for interaction…for all of us to meet and grow and empower ourselves with information. Hats off to Zuckerberg, once again!!!
On the FibroidRelief “page” you will see pictures from several of the FibroidRelief At Last educational-series events. Two of these successful events occurred in Chicago and London. Patients, Doctors and directors convened to impart all manner of information pertaining to everything-you-wanted-to-know-about-fibroids…and then some!! An incredibly successful series, NOW with the pictures to prove it!!
On this one-stop-page, you are also able to participate in discussion groups and share your particular story of a life-with-fibroid(s). Stories are the connection that allow us to “see” with someone elses eyes. Stories enable us to grow together. Stories help us  to tune-in to our compassionate dial…and listen, and care, and help.
It is my hope that this FibroidRelief “page” becomes the largest membered “page” on facebook! So YOUR  mission-impossible, if you decide to accept it, is to get all of your “network-of-friends” to (pleeeez) become a member of  the FibroidRelief “page” on facebook and,one-by-one, WE can make this the single most interactive “page” ever!!! And help each other!! Thankyou, in advance. Thankyou!!
