Remaining apolitical (at least for this blog) has been fairly easy…we are talking about fibroids, after all!  BUT…after reading the ’President’s Cancer Panel’ report,  my center-leveled fence-sitting-view has begun to teeter and, I have fallen to the side of the people vs. the (mega-global) corporations (and all the governmental protection that adorns them!!)
The panel couched their words and chose them very carefully, and still, their message screamed at me with all of the alarm and red-alerts that one sees when a fire truck dashes full-speed-ahead to its’ 3-alarm blaze. The ‘President’s Cancer Panel’ wrote a 240 page report that, since it’s inception in 1971, has never ever been more vociferous as to the amount of chemicals that are poisoning ‘the people’!!! And in my opinion…I am delighted that this  panel, finally after so many decades, spoke the truth and was not unduly influenced by the campaign-contributing corporations that seem to be more important than the individual simply because, ”They got’s more money!”
The report was thorough and the urgency was loud…take a read of the following quotes from ‘The Presidents Cancer Panel’:
♥ “The true burden of environmentally induced cancers has been grossly underestimated.”
♥ “President Obama, use the power of your office to remove the carcinogens and other toxins from our food, water, and air that needlessly increase health care costs, cripple our nations productivity and devastate American lives.”
♥ “These environmental exposures do not represent a new front in the ongoing war on cancer. However the grievous harm from this group of carcinogens has not been addressed adequately by the National Cancer Program. The American people — even before they are born — are bombarded continually with myriad combinations of these dangerous exposures.”
♥ “The increasing number of known or suspected environmental carcinogens compels us to action, even though we may currently lack irrefutable proof of harm.”
♥ “The old estimates of cancer rates (dating back to 1981) fail to take into account many newer discoveries about people’s vulnerabilities to chemicals. Many chemicals interact with each other, intensifying the effect.”

The 240-page report was quite detailed and mentioned many many many of the chemicals, that I have written and spoken about, that effect the body with their ability to disrupt the endocrine-system and cause all kinds of estrogen maladies ~~ FIBROIDS!!  The report is heartening AND dis-heartening, all-at-once!! Dis-heartening because (I believe) we have been lied to through omission of information!! BUT  heartening because, now that you ‘know’…why, you can (and must) effect change for yourself and for your loved ones.

In fact, I will share with you something that works to rid your body of  excess antibiotic, hormone-disrupting chemicals and phthalates. Without going into a huge amount of detail (on this blog), there was a study that tested 25 participants, for 5 days eating a strict vegetarian diet…and guess what?? After these participants adopted a vegetarian diet for just five days they showed (through bodily-fluid-testing) a huge reduction in the levels of toxic chemicals in their bodies. In particular, levels of hormone-disrupting chemicals and antibiotics (used in livestock) were lower…and after only 5-days on the vegetarian diet.

I know that the ‘world is too much with us’ and that at times it is just so overwhelming to keep up with all of the poisonous poison-darts that are slung towards us in this chemical stewy-broo-ha-ha…but we, each of us, do have a choice in the matter!! And the great news is, that through very simple dietary and other lifestyle changes we can reduce our exposure to a whole range of (potentially) harmful chemicals even on a very short time-scale…and all of this may get even easier now that ‘The President’s Cancer Panel’ reported the truth!!: ♥♥
