The horrendous life-deforming and life-altering oil geyser, that keeps on spewing  it’s raw poison in the gulf,  has me continually in a Shakespeare-styled ‘head’…I am finding  parallels, parables and metaphors at every turn with ‘this’ life-defining event!
As for fibroids, bear with me, I WILL  make the case.

Last night our Commander and Chief, President Obama warned, “The one approach I will not accept is inaction. The one answer I will not settle for is the idea that this challenge is too big and too difficult to meet.” He said that, “Progress had been blocked time and again by oil industry lobbyists…The time has come for the United States to seize control of our own destiny.”

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding ~~ every loud bell went off in my head when I heard those poetic and meaningful words.
Let me repeat that last quote of President Obama’s ~~ the word’s that gifted me my ‘ah-ha’ moment ~~ the parallel recognition between fibroids & oil!!! 
“The time has come to seize control of our own destiny!”
BRILLIANT!!!  BRILLIANT!!!
Yes, I know that he was refering to the oil situation, of course I know that…BUT with regards to our health and well being AND,  that we are (each of us) in control of our bodies health, what the President extolled makes perfect and beautiful sense…we must seize the day!! Each and every day staying informed and conscious with positive decisions…NOW!!

Here’s what I know for sure:  Given how common and concerning fibroids can be to women (upwards of 80% of all women have these fiendish-fibroids) they are very very VERY poorly studied. We do not have a definitive cause, but we absolutely  know that hormone inbalance can raise havoc with these freaky-fibroids. The appearance of new fibroids and the growth of existing fibroids is so so SO poorly studied among the management option (that leave the uterus intact) that one wants to scream WOMEN DESERVE BETTER INFORMATION AND DESERVE HIGH-QUALITY STUDIES, SO AS TO GUIDE THEIR CHOICES!!!! Women deserve better!!
If you have been reading my blogs, you know  that I am a full-100%-believer in conducting ones life with pre-emptive actions…actions that will help to stave off many many environmentally induced causes of ill-health and dis-ease. It turns out that our life-style choices and our choices of food, clothing, housing materials, cosmetics (including body lotions, shampoos etc) and even  geographic location can play a huge part in our staying-’n-keeping healthy and well!!
The sad facts are, that our addiction to oil was a major cause in this ginormous lethal oil-geyser AND has an equal hand in infiltrating and seeping into our lives and leaving us (sometimes) chronicaly ill…fibroids included!!
Petro-chemicals are endocrine disruptors, interfering on every level with our delicate hormonal balances AND they are found in so very many everyday items. Take a look: Fast-food Milkshakes, Carpeting, Furniture, Computers, Clothing, Toothpaste, Shaving cream, Lipstick, Vitamin capsules, Shampoo, Packaging for EVERYTHING, glue, labels etc etc!!! Petrochemicals get in our blood (even) from these ‘low-dose’ vehicles…they accumulate and accumulate in the body and disrupt the human hormone system. This  disruption is the cause of everything from early puberty, to cancer, to fibroids, forsooth!!! You simply must take every pre-caution to eat organic and live organic!!!
This gosh-darn oil-spewing-geyser could have (and should have)  been prevented if only the corporations in charge did what they were ‘supposed to do’ …actions to prevent! AND (it is my belief) that many many MANY ailments (and their chronic-precursors) can also be prevented (or at least maintained to ’their’ status-quo)! 
APPLY to your life  exactly what the President said he would be  APPLYing  to the Gulf oil debacle! And  every waking moment say to yourself (as the President ’speached’ to us), “I WILL NOT ACCEPT INACTION…I WILL SEIZE CONTROL OF MY OWN DESTINY.” 
Sounds like the correct (life) plan to me!!♥♥
