Living with fibroids is a discouraging reality for millions of women around the world. In addition to the pain and anxiety they face every day, fibroid sufferers must struggle to determine the best treatment to relieve their symptoms.
Now, there’s some great news. In 2004, the FDA approved a new treatment for uterine fibroids that is non-invasive and can be performed on an outpatient basis. It’s called focused ultrasound.
And there’s a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women with uterine fibroids take advantage of it.
That’s Fibroid Relief. At Fibroid Relief, we are committed to raising awareness of the benefits of focused ultrasound among patients, physicians, and insurance companies through education and advocacy. Our goal is to ensure that this breakthrough treatment becomes more widely available and better accepted. While on our website, you’ll find: information about focused ultrasound and other treatment options, the location of the nearest treatment center, and guidance to help you work more effectively with your insurer.
While you’re here, we hope you will join our mailing list so that you’ll always be informed about the latest developments with uterine fibroids in this wonderful new treatment.
Sincerely,
The Fibroid Relief Team
